EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Anyone seeking employment with our child care center must:

·         Complete an employment application

·         Have a high school diploma or GED

·         Complete the required childcare employee physical examination

          form within the first 60 days

·         Have a negative test for TB prior to being hired within last 9 months

·         Acquire a state qualifying letter from the Division of Child

          Development prior to hire date by paying for and sending a criminal

          record check (electronic submission), copy of receipt of record

          check, fingerprints (electronic submission), release of information

          form, and applicant information form

·         Complete an Emergency Information Form

·         Be at least 21 years of age

·         Provide documentation of US Citizenship (government issued I.D.)

·         Have at a minimum the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential

·         Be willing to enroll in additional early childhood classes, seminars,

          and workshops (scholarship are available)

·         Attend center's Professional Development Trainings

·         Attend the center’s annual graduation from set up to breakdown

·         Participate in all center fundraisers and community service events

·         Be willing to attend the required annual number of in-service hours

          required by the State

·         Have their references checked (reference checks are required by the

          State of North Carolina prior to start of employment)

·         Be willing to enroll in First Aid and Infant, Child, and Adult CPR

          training and renew training each year or bi-annually
