EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Anyone seeking employment with our child care center must:
-
Complete an employment application
-
Have a high school diploma or GED
-
Complete the required childcare employee physical examination form within the first 60 days
-
Have a negative test for TB prior to being hired within last 9 months
-
Acquire a state qualifying letter from the Division of Child Development prior to hire date by paying for and sending a criminal record check (electronic submission), copy of receipt of record check, fingerprints (electronic submission), release of information form, and applicant information form

Complete an Emergency Information Form
-
Be at least 21 years of age
-
Provide documentation of US Citizenship (government issued I.D.)

Have at a minimum the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential
-
Be willing to enroll in additional early childhood classes, seminars, and workshops (scholarship are available)
-
Attend center's Professional Development Trainings
-
Attend the center’s annual graduation from set up to breakdown
-
Participate in all center fundraisers and community service events
-
Be willing to attend the required annual number of in-service hours required by the State
-
Have their references checked (reference checks are required by the State of North Carolina prior to start of employment)

Be willing to enroll in First Aid and Infant, Child, and Adult CPR training and renew training each year or bi-annually
